Blog 17: Answer 2

1.)What is your EQ?
-"What is the best way to help an individual create and execute an effective workout and diet plan?"

2.)What is your first answer? (In complete thesis statement format)
-To understand the individual and their goals, learning their health habits, accommodations, workout preference, what they hope to gain from the experience.

3.)What is your second answer (In complete thesis format)
-Being able to properly motivate the individual, and to keep them motivated  to reach their goal.

4.)List three reasons your answer is true with a real-world application for each.
-Motivation is needed for EVERYTHING, especially starting something new.
-It is also extremely important to STAY motivated and continue with whatever endeavor one sets their mind to. Especially when trying to get fit, because it takes time to get results, so its very important to stick with it.
-People often quick working out/ eating healthy, so its important to keep them motivated to keep working toward their goal and be able to continue that healthy lifestyle.

Blog 16: Independent Component 2 Approval

Due date: Thursday, 2/11 by 8am

Please review the component contract in the senior project packet.   The Independent Component 2 is an opportunity for you to add a dimension of creativity and/or an additional outlet for research.  The goal of the component is for you to explore your answers in more depth.  On Friday, April 22, 2016, you will be turning in the following to your blog to prove completion of this component:
  • Blog post answering specific questions posted by senior team
  • Log of hours clearly delineated as Independent Component 2 on the senior project hours spreadsheet (with total number of hours included)
  • Evidence of the 30 hours of work (e.g. transcript, essays, tests, art work, photographs) as digital artifacts   
For this blog post and approval, please answer the following questions.

1.  Describe in detail what you plan to do for your 30 hours.
-I plan to add 30 hours to mentorship
2.  Discuss how or what you will do to meet the expectation of showing 30 hours of evidence.
-I will take pictures, or get a confirmation signature.
3.  Explain how this component will help you explore your topic in more depth.
-This component will help me explore my topic by finding more ways to help an individual workout and how to motivate them and such.
4.  Post a log in your Senior Project Hours link and label it "Independent Component 2" log.
-Done.
Your answers to the questions should be supported with details and examples for the senior team to understand what you plan to do.   Once we review your Blog Post 16, your house teacher will discuss with you the approval of your plan.  If it is approved, please start working on it.  If it is not approved, your house teacher will explain why.  It is your job to address the concerns so you can get your component approved.  Additionally, any changes requested must be addressed to your house teacher well in advance of the completion date for full credit on the assignment.

Lesson 2 Reflection

1.)What are you most proud of in your Lesson 2 Presentation
-I'm most proud of the fact that I presented a majority of the information I needed to. I was also proud of the fact that people participated in the activity.

a.)What assessment would you give yourself on your Lesson 2 Presentation? (Self-Assessment)
-I would give myself an AP because I made time, but most of that was because of questions that the class asked (thanks guys.)

b.)Explain why you deserve that grade using evidence from the Lesson 2 component contract
-Again, I didn't make time with research information and instead had to answer questions.
3.)What worked for you in your Lesson 2?

-What worked well was the activity because everyone participated which was nice, I thought people were just gonna stand there awkwardly but they didn't, so that was good.
4.)What didn't work? If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your Lesson 2?

-Oh my god, okay sooo I forgot to mention some information such as the reason for my activity, a good description of mentorship, and the interviews. I would go back and mention all those things because they would've  really helped.

5.)What do you think your answer #2 is going to be?
-My second EQ is possibly going to be properly motivating the individual and creating a positive environment for that motivation to flourish,
